Sheriff Candidate Embodies Change

This was sent to the editorial division of the Daily Tribune.  Thank you Mrs. Hinton for your kind remarks!

"Change," the slogan of this year's presidential campaign, is also true right here in Oakland County. It's time to change the sheriff.

An incumbent is not always the best person for the job. Things change over time. It is beneficial to have new people with a vision and new ideas. This is especially true when the current sheriff has a personal ambition of being the governor. How much time do you actually think Mike Bouchard will give to us as sheriff while he is out campaigning? He is paid $130,000 a year, and for that kind of wage, we deserve 100 percent of his attention. Obviously, he wants change.

The new sheriff in town needs to be Jane Boudreau, his opponent. She comes from a law enforcement family. It is in her bloodline. She has 24 years experience, 18 years in the sheriff's department. She has been a committee member of the Michigan D.A.R.E. Advisory Board and the Domestic Violence Coordination Council. Jane is a charter member of the Board of Directors of the Oakland County Teen Court and a regional representative of the Criminal Justice Women of Michigan. She is endorsed by Andy Meisner, Gilda Jacobs, Dave Woodward, Dave Coulter, the Michigan Association of Police, Michigan State Police Troopers, the Michigan AFL-CIO, etc.

Make an informed decision. Visit the Web site of Jane Boudreau and listen to the multi-media interview. She has what it takes. She will dedicate 100 percent of her time keeping you and your family safe because Jane is all about "you." Her ambition is to serve us. Her Web site is www.boudreauforsheriff.com.
