Eighteen Days to Go!

Eighteen Days To Go...The entire Democratic Party is "fired up & ready to go!" Today was very busy as all the days leading up to election will be.

Today I met with many members of the Pontiac Police Department to rally behimd them at the Pontiac City Hall. Today the officers stood as a unified front to protect the place that they love to work. I began my police career in the city of Pontiac and know that many of the officer's I stood with today follow in their mother, father or cousin's footsteps, as I do. Being a part of the tradition is important and I understand why they want to keep their home. As Sheriff of Oakland County I will support all of their efforts. You can not take away what they love, we need to roll up our sleeves and help solve the problem.

Many women today met at the UAW hall in Pontiac on Walton to stand strong behind Obama and the entire democratic ticket. It was wonderful to be with and hear many amazing women talk about what inspired them to take the leap into the race for which they were running.

Thank you to Colleen who represented me at the Chamber event in Commerce Township, a special thanks to the Chamber for hosting the event! Thanks to cousin Steven for getting out the the Peters Debate at Oakland University.
