The time to embark upon the campaign trail has arrived.  Jane will be meeting with community leaders, citizens, business owners and friends, and will communicate nothing but fact:  The Oakland County Sheriff’s Office is without leadership.  It is the Sheriff’s DUTY to lead the men and women of the Oakland County Sheriff’s Office and provide a safe and secure environment for the taxpayers of the county. The current Sheriff should not treat his office as a taxpayer funded springboard for his next failed dream job.

Jane Felice Boudreau, is a 26-year veteran of Law Enforcement who has enjoyed a productive and proactive careers within the Pontiac Police Department as a Police Cadet, the Oakland County Sheriff's Office as a Deputy Sheriff, Deputy Supervisor, Substation Sergeant, and also a Patrol Officer for the Village of Holly.  During her career as a Police Officer she has dedicated her adult life to the protection of the citizens and businesses of Oakland County, having worked within the communities in which she served.  In addition to police work, she's been involved with many Police Associations across the State of Michigan, as well as other states within the USA.

One thing you need to know about Jane.  Jane Boudreau is NOT running for Sheriff to obtain a platform that compensates her, at taxpayer’s expense, to run for the next political office of interest. The privilege of being elected Sheriff demands someone who is willing to give the taxpayers exactly what they pay for, a fulltime Sheriff.  No longer can the taxpayers of Oakland County; Democrat, Republican or Tea Party Members alike, personally fund the never-ending job search of the current Sheriff.  The economic hardships we all have endured, decorum and just plain decency demand a Sheriff who has made up his/her mind what they want to do when they grow up.   No longer should the citizens of Oakland County pay for a Sheriff that believes that his main job is to campaign for U.S. Senate or Governor.  No longer should the citizens of Oakland County pay for a Sheriff who spends more time on the campaign trail supporting others or one that spends more time in Washington D.C than he does his own office. This is wasted taxpayer money that Oakland County citizens can no longer afford.  Jane Boudreau wants to turn and face the citizens of Oakland County, embrace the challenges full on and tackle them with the wisdom and experience that only a lifetime of Law Enforcement can bring.  Let Jane Boudreau show you how much she DOES want to be Sheriff and let her show you what she can accomplish.

In 2008, Jane launched a grass-roots campaign to bring much needed change to the Office of Oakland County Sheriff, and ran against the incumbent.  Despite being grossly out spent (the current Sheriff spent nearly 400,000 to beat her) and outgunned around every turn, she managed to take the entrenched administration by surprise.  She spent her time connecting directly with the citizens of the county, knocking on doors, meeting with citizens to hear concerns, discuss solutions, and she managed to gather over two hundred thousand votes.  Her opponent, meanwhile, spent his time out of state, meeting celebrities and mugging for cameras on behalf of other candidates in other races.

The Boudreau for Sheriff association believes, during the 2010 Michigan Governor race, the people of Michigan sent the current Sheriff a clear message: they were not interested in hiring a man who only spent a scarce amount of time within his own jurisdiction doing his own job, and they were not interested in hiring a career politician that knows little more than posing for pictures.  They were looking to elect a leader.  They loudly voted him down, and Jane Boudreau would like to ask the citizens of Oakland County to vote him down again.

Join her in her efforts to bring about change that is needed.  Start on her website, learn about what she's going to do for the citizens and businesses of Oakland County, and then make a donation and volunteer for the campaign.  No amount is too small, and any donation will help to bring Jane closer to meeting that goal.  Sponsor a gathering at your home, tell your friends to get involved, add yourself to our mailing and e-mail list.  You can also follow our campaign on Twitter and Facebook.
